Grief is a perfectly natural process by which a person makes a healthy adjustment to any major loss in their life. Grief and loss are part of everyday life. We don't only grieve after full on traumatic events like someone dying, we can also feel a sense of loss after quite minor events. This could be something like the loss of a sporting fixture, a bad mark in an exam, or being dumped by someone who you really liked. Change, such as moving or having your parents break up can also cause people to grieve.
